Vascular Verification Program

Data Registry

Data is recognized as an invaluable resource in driving improvement within a Vascular Program. Sites are encouraged to capture their vascular cases within a nationally benchmarked and risk-adjusted clinical registry in order to facilitate the availability of high-quality data to inform quality improvement activities. Current options for capturing data in registry formats include:

  • The Â鶹´«Ã½National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP) Vascular Module, recently updated in January 2023. Participation options include:
    • Â鶹´«Ã½NSQIP sites may access and utilize the Vascular Module through their current subscription
    • Non-NSQIP sites may either join the full Â鶹´«Ã½NSQIP registry with access to all modules or join only the Â鶹´«Ã½NSQIP Vascular Module with access limited to vascular-specific cases (Module participation is only available to sites participating in the verification program)
  • The SVS Vascular Quality Initiative (VQI) inclusive of all modules. For more information on the offerings of SVS VQI, please visit the .

Use of a registry alongside participation in the Vascular Verification Program offers an opportunity to jointly support and advance the clinical care and quality improvement activities of the vascular service.
